This is an original ink and crayon drawing of one of my favorite creative folks, Dave Eggers.
Dave is the publisher of McSweeney’s, he’s the author of numerous books (including “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius”, which I love), and he’s also a great artist and designer, and has written some wonderful screenplays to boot!
I was just in Richmond with my friend Andrew to visit one of my favorite bookshops (Chop Suey - you should check it out!) and was surprised to see Mr Eggers was going to be in-store that very night, but alas we couldn’t stick around long enough! So I thought I should add him to the ever-growing list of inspirational people I’ve been drawing in crayon lately, which brings us to this little picture here:
The drawing is 5 x 7 inches, and optionally comes in a frame which can stand on its own via a detatchable stand on the back, or be hung on the wall - a perfect gift for the Literature lover in your life!
